Privacy Policy

Short version: we collect what the product needs to work, we never sell it, and there is no advertising, analytics, or tracking on this site.
Who is responsible
Venkata Vishnu Vardhan Raju Chakravarthula operates Zero to FDE and is responsible for your data. Privacy and grievance contact: chakravarthulavishnu8@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Account: your email, and your password stored only as a salted bcrypt hash. With Google sign-in: the name, email, and photo Google shares.
- Profile: display name, bio, and photo, if you add them.
- Learning activity: roadmap progress, streaks, skills and projects you tick, Time Capsule answers, job-tracker entries, and practice sessions.
- Community: messages, direct messages, reports, blocks, and showcase projects.
- AI inputs: the text you submit to Resume Tailor, AI Chat, Teach It Back, and The Grilling.
- Payments: Razorpay order and payment IDs, amount, and status. Never your card, UPI, or bank details.
- Security: login sessions with the device type your browser reports; one-time codes, reset links, and verification links are stored only as hashes.
- Email: which follow-up emails were sent, and your unsubscribe choice.
- Optional income-share: only if you opt in, the employer, role, and salary you report.
How we use it
- To run the service: accounts, progress, community, and AI tools.
- To process payments and unlock access.
- To send emails: account emails (verification, password reset, sign-in codes), and follow-ups only to confirmed addresses, with an unsubscribe link.
- To keep the service safe: moderation, rate limiting, and preventing abuse.
We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.
Who processes it for us
- Render: hosting.
- Supabase: database.
- Razorpay: payments.
- Resend: email delivery.
- Anthropic and Google (Gemini): process the text you submit to the AI features.
- Google: Sign in with Google, and web fonts loaded from Google's servers.
- jsDelivr: delivers the Python runtime, only when you use the Sandbox.
Some of these providers may process data outside India.
What other users can see
Your display name and photo in the community, the leaderboard, and the activity feed, plus showcase projects you post. You can hide yourself from the leaderboard in Settings. Direct messages are visible to you and the recipient; a reported message is visible to the admin for moderation.
Cookies
One essential cookie keeps you logged in, plus a short-lived one during Google sign-in. No advertising or analytics cookies.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account exists. Ask us to delete your account and we will delete your data, except payment records we must keep under tax and accounting law.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask to access, correct, or delete your data, withdraw consent (for example, unsubscribe from follow-up emails), and raise a grievance. Email chakravarthulavishnu8@gmail.com.
Security
HTTPS everywhere, hashed passwords and tokens, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Children
The service is not for anyone under 18.
Changes
We will update this page and email you about material changes.
